description Less than 40 minutes to the coastal beaches to the east and to Manchester to the west, Pawtuckaway State Park Campground is well located for easy access to a variety of attractions and activities. Except for the RV Park located at Hampton Beach, Pawtuckaway provides the closest state park camping area to the seacoast. Hiking, mountain biking, boating, swimming, and fishing are popular pastimes of campers. All sites are wooded and many provide views of the lake. Each of the campsites has an open fireplace, picnic table, flat area for a tent, and a parking space. Although there are no hook-ups, recreational vehicles are welcome in sites where they fit. Running water, flush toilet facilities, a camp store, boat launch, and canoe and paddle boat rentals are available. Coin-operated showers are accessible 24 hours a day. Please remember that pets are not permitted. The 195-site campground includes 180 sites available by reservation only, 4 of which are for youth group reservations; and 15 for first-come/first-served campers.

importantInformation *The nightly site fee pays for 2 adults only and up to 4 dependent children under 18. *6 people maximum per site of which only 4 can be adults(excluding family group sites and youth group sites). *The third and fourth extra adult on a site pay $10.00 each, per night, upon check-in. *Additional children are charged $5.00 per night. *All additional guest fees are paid upon arrival at the campground NOT when reservation is made. PLEASE DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD WITH YOU FROM OUTSIDE OF ROCKINGHAM COUNTY NH. Firewood can carry exotic insects and tree diseases. Safe firewood is available to purchase at the campground for your convenience. Help protect the campground trees. Do not drive nails into trees, hang gas lanterns on trees, cut any standing trees, or remove their limbs. All persons entering the campground must be registered. Upon arrival campers must have their camping equipment and be prepared to set up. No one under 18 years of age can reserve a site or be issued a camping permit. Campers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older. You must sign for your own site. No one else may register a site for you. Check-in is between 1 PM and 8 PM. Only those campers who have their equipment with them will be registered. The park gates are open for campers to enter and exit 24 hours. There is a maximum of 2 vehicles per site (excluding family sites and youth sites), including those of paid guest. Extra vehicles are to be parked in the beach parking lot. Camping equipment must be set up on designated dirt portion of campsites, adjacent to the picnic table and fireplace. Maximum per site (excluding family sites): one trailer (tent or travel) and one tent; OR one motor home and one tent; OR two large tents. Guests of registered campers must sign in at the campground office, pay the day-use fee, and may visit in the campground from 8 AM to 10 PM. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. Check-out time is 11 AM. After check-out campers may park and spend the remainder of the day in the day-use area. Not all sites on Horse Island or Neals Cove are waterfront, only the sites on the outer perimeter of the Islands are waterfront. No electrical/water hook-ups or dump stations at this campground >For those camping without guardians, anyone above 16 years is considered an adult. The primary occupant must be 18 years or older, additional adults on the site must pay applicable extra adult fees. Pets are only allowed in the campground (excluding youth group sites) from May 1st until Memorial Day weekend as well as from Columbus Day weekend until Nov 1st. They are not allowed in the campground in the peak season. YOUTH GROUPS For Pawtuckaway youth group reservations call 1-877-647-2757. Reservations made for the Youth Group camping area will be charged a $25.00 fee upon making the reservation. Additional fees for guests camping must be paid upon arrival at the campground. Children are $5.00 per night and adults are $10.00 per night. For every 4 children 1 adult will be charged the $5.00 youth rate. Any remaining adults will pay the $10.00 adult charge. The Youth Group camping area is tent only.
